The Government Affairs Committee advocates for policies that support a thriving business environment in Kent. This committee monitors local, state, and federal legislative developments, engaging in advocacy efforts to represent the interests of the Chamber and its members.
Charter:

Track and analyze legislation that impacts Kent’s business community.

Develop Chamber positions on key policy issues.

Organize events to educate members on legislative changes.

Facilitate meetings between business leaders and policymakers.

Advocate for policies supporting economic growth and community welfare.

Provide legislative updates to the Chamber board and members.

Mobilize member involvement in advocacy efforts when needed.

Build and maintain relationships with elected officials and community leaders.

Represent the Chamber’s stance at public forums and hearings.
